Aggregate Equipment Guide

The new Powerscreen Chieftain 1700 is a highly mobile two- and three-deck dry screen that can separate up to six products and is specifically designed to fit into the mid-range bracket between the Chieftain 1400 and 2100 models.

Four integral hydraulically folding stockpile conveyors transport with the machine. This eliminates the need for any lifting devices to put the plant into working mode.

The Chieftain 1700 sets up ready to run in less than 30 minutes.

The unit’s adjustable high-amplitude, two-bearing screen action exposes material to varying amplitudes and G-force to help separate the material into the various required specifications. The hydraulic screen angle adjustment varies the material travel rate over the screen deck to provide a clean product in difficult applications, according to the manufacturer.

The screen box is designed to use meshes from the existing Chieftain 1400 to potentially cut mesh inventories for customers who own multiple machines.

The plant has full-access walkways on three sides to simplify maintenance and screen mesh changes. A transverse power unit gives greater access to the engine for additional ease of maintenance. The unit adheres to global emission regulations and is Tier III

compliant.
