Case Construction Equipment continues to expand its E Series full-sized crawler excavator lineup with the introduction of two new short radius models: the 15-ton, 105-hp CX145E SR and the 27-ton, 160-hp CX255E SR.

These new machines redefine performance in tight spaces by blending robust digging power and breakout forces with advanced features, a compact footprint and some of the smoothest controls in the industry.

Building on the reliability, performance and operator experience of the Case excavator platform, both the CX145E SR and CX255E SR feature upgrades in technology and operator assistance. New Case Assist and Payload controls bring a suite of smart features to the cab, including payload weighing directly in the bucket, height and depth alarms and dynamic stability assist which displays roll and pitch angles and automatically reduces rocking during dumping operations, according to Case.

Improved hydraulics also provide customizable hydraulic flow balance for arm-in, boom-up and swing functions, letting operators dial in control for more precision. Both models feature selectable free swing functionality, giving operators more stability and added safety with less fatigue when lifting and placing swinging loads, working on uneven terrain or loading trucks, according to Case.

Operators also can adjust the power to the task with four work modes in a range up to 10 throttle settings: super power for the maximum possible power; power for a hard-working mode suitable for daily operation; eco for more fuel efficiency; and lifting for maximum control during lifting and craning tasks. In addition, Case telematics and software provide data to measure fuel usage and other metrics to further increase efficiency.

Connectivity is built into the core of these new models with a new bidirectional modem for 2-way communication telematics. Fleet managers and operators can leverage remote diagnostics, assistance and software updates to power predictive maintenance and minimize machine downtime.

The operator experience also gets a boost with a new, spacious cab aligned with the E Series automotive style design. A 10-in. LCD display puts critical machine data at the operators' fingertips and ergonomic controls improve operability. Combined with a comfortable high-back seat and reduced vibration while tracking, the new cab environment offers a smoother ride and helps minimize operator fatigue during long shifts, according to Case.

Designed to meet the demands of modern jobsite challenges, the new CX145E SR and CX255E SR excavators empower operators of all skill levels to work smarter, safer and more efficiently. With control-enhancing technology, greater connectivity and impressive power, these new excavators raise the bar on performance to make every job a success, according to Case.
