Navy Destroyer Retires With Honors, Dismantled in Maryland →

From Construction Equipment Guide... The USS Patterson FF 1061 recently was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. This destroyer was scrapped by North American Supply Inc., Ruxton, MD, for Baltimore Marine Industries (BMI), Baltimore, MD. Commissioned in 1970, the USS Patterson saw a long and successful career before retiring. When the order came in for the ship to be scrapped, the vessel was brought to BMI’s facility where North American Supply took over. Maryland Tire Plant Topples With Earthmoving Force →

The Allegany County Public Works department of the city of Cumberland, MD, selected Earthmovers Unlimited, Kylertown, PA, to perform the demolition of the three- and four-story former Kelly Tire Plant. The building, which covers approximately six acres, was built in 1918 and is constructed of a riveted steel beam construction with wooden floors and a brick facade. Earthmovers is completing the demolition, constructing an on-site drainage system, and refurbishing the adjacent structures all within a six-month period.  Click for more...

Cleaning the 994 – the largest current production wheel loader manufactured by Caterpillar – was a piece of cake for Hoss and its sandblasting and paint shop.
