In looking at the area’s congestion, it has been reported that the number of dwelling units in the Corridor is projected to increase to 38,965 in 2020, an increase of 50 percent since 1995-96. Daewoo Heavy Industries Enters Into an Agreement With Komatsu Limited of Japan →

Komatsu Limited of Japan and Daewoo Heavy Industries and Machinery Corporation of Korea entered into a two-year agreement for Komatsu to supply equipment to Daewoo for distribution through Daewoo’s distributor network in Korea. The agreement calls for Daewoo to import Komatsu Limited construction equipment products into the Korean domestic market. These products will include specialty equipment not manufactured or distributed by Daewoo, such as zero tail-swing mini-excavators, wheel loaders in excess of 4.9 cu m and some models of large excavators, shovels and dozers. At the company’s Denton, TX, plant, employees from every department took part in events like the Volvo Wheel Loader Rodeo and the Hitachi Excavator Skills Test. “We want to create a safer working environment and let people see what other people do in their departments,” said Ronald Carpenter, mining supervisor of the Denton plant.
