SITECH Chesapeake held its open house on Sept. 17 at its location on 19 Thomas Ave. in Brooklyn, Md., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A pit beef, pit ham, and pit turkey lunch catered by the Cookout was enjoyed by all. More than 80 customers attended the event. There were multiple demonstrations throughout the day including three live demos showcasing 2D and 3D machine control products. Products demonstrated included a Trimble GCS flex system on a Cat 316E excavator; an ATI level best box with dual laser grade and slope control on a Cat 277C; full Trimble 3D machine control systems on a Cat 336E excavator; a Cat D4K2 LGP bulldozer; and a Universal Total Station (UTS) controlling a Cat 12M2 motorgrader to within .02 accuracy.
