Joint-Venture Halfway Through on Columbus Trench Project →

To help alleviate traffic in Columbus, Ohio, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has awarded a $75 million contract to a joint-venture (JV) bringing together The Ruhlin Company ($31.7 million) and George J. Igel & Co. Inc. ($43.3 million) to construct a trench express lane on U.S. Route 23. The project, which began in Sept. 2013, will see the JV construct a 25 ft. Excavator Found in Lake Michigan →

From Construction Equipment Guide... OAK CREEK, Wis. (AP) — Police in suburban Milwaukee are investigating after a $500,000 construction vehicle was found in Lake Michigan. Oak Creek police said Tuesday the 20-ton excavator appears to have been stolen and driven off a bluff into the lake. Oak Creek highway workers discovered the yellow vehicle partially submerged Monday during a bluff improvement project. Police say the Komatsu earth mover fell about 60 feet and landed in the lake, where it was found with icicles hanging from its treads.  Click for more...

NorthStar Group Finds Increased Productivity with KOBELCO Excavators →

NorthStar, the general contractor selected by PES for the project, has found increased productivity onsite with the help of Company Wrench, who provided NorthStar with exclusive services to successfully complete the project.
