Fintec Crushing and Screening Ltd., based in Northern Ireland, has introduced its Fintec 1080 track-mounted cone crusher system to the U.S. recycling market, joining the Fintec 1107 track-mounted primary jaw crusher, and the Fintec 542, Fintec 570 and Fintec 640 track-mounted screening plants.

This mobile 385-hp (287 kW) secondary cone features high strength and high capacity with high-reduction performance, all-in feed, direct hydraulic drive and hydraulic closed-side setting and tramp iron relief, making it ideal for recycle and contract crushing.

The Fintec 1080 cone plant features a Sandvik 385-hp H3800 crusher, developed with the Sandvik CSC (cubical shape crushing) technique to produce high-quality material for today’s tight spec standards.

With a hopper capacity of 6.5 cu. yds. (5 cu m) and a maximum feed opening of 7.5 in. (19 cm), this hydraulic-adjust crusher will allow a coarse closed-side setting (CSS) of .5 to 1.5 in. (1.3 to 3.8 cm) and a medium CSS of .3 to 1 in. (.8 to 2.5 cm). Crushing chambers are available for extra-coarse to extra-fine applications.

The Fintec 1080 track-mounted cone crusher has many user-friendly automated features. For example, a level monitor controls the feed rate to ensure choke feeding of the crusher, while a semi-automatic setting regulation system optimizes production and tracks liner wear.

A 40-in. (102 cm) hydraulic-folding feed conveyor allows easy access from above the crusher for maintenance. The hydrostatic crusher drive is controlled by a remote radio console.

The Fintec plants’ compact designs and transport-friendly weights allow them to be moved easily from site to site on a lowboy trailer. The track-mounted plants feature quick and easy setup and operation. On-site mobility is achieved by simple controls, 20-in. (51 cm) tracks and a Cat Tier III compliant engine.
