Volvo has recently named Mick Vaught and Peter G. Causer vice presidents. Vaught has been named vice president, articulated haulers, and Peter G. Causer has been appointed vice president, excavators, for Volvo Construction Equipment North America, Asheville, NC, the sales, marketing and product support subsidiary of Volvo Construction Equipment, Brussels, Belgium. J. P. Roszell, president and chief executive officer, of Volvo Construction Equipment North America, made the announcement of the appointments. Vaught returns to Volvo Construction Equipment after serving the last three years as director of corporate training for a major construction equipment distributor. He began his construction industry career with Liebberr America in 1974, serving as a sales control manager until 1992. Vaught was a product manager of Komatsu from 1992 to 1995, and held a marketing and sales management position with Mitchell Distributing from 1995 to 1997. From 1997 to 1998, he was a member of the Volvo CE excavator product marketing group in Asheville. In his new position Vaught will be responsible for Volvo Construction Equipment articulated hauler marketing activities in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Causer brings to Volvo Construction Equipment extensive experience in the marketing of mining, construction and forestry equipment on an international basis. Until recently, he was vice president of Global Sales and Marketing for Terex Mining, Tulsa, OK. He held a variety of senior management positions with Orenstein & Koppel in Germany, Canada, and the United States. Causer has lived in the United States since 1991, providing marketing expertise for major equipment suppliers in the North America and South America markets. He will assume the responsibilities for Volvo Construction Equipment excavator marketing in the North America market, which includes the United States, Canada and Mexico.
